Remember the time you were in San Diego and you had those pescado tacos you've been dreaming about since you left the West coast? Well... These are not them. Sorry... I'd like to consider myself a purist, and if I think they're better than what I ate in California, you probably should too. It's like the argument of Shake Shack vs. In & Out. They're both great at what they do, and whenever I'm eating either one, I swear it's the best fast-food burger I've ever had... It's the same way you'll feel about everything Rockaway Taco serves up.
Everything is super-fresh, the batter is perfect every time (never soggy), and the setting couldn't be any more fitting (you're about 2 blocks from a sandy beach).
Start with the cucumber + mango + chili salad for $2.00
It's fresh, different, and something intriguing to grub on while you wait for your tacos.
Don't think twice about the extra $1 for the Guac on the Fish tacos, do it... They may be $4 each, but what you get in return is so pretty and delicious, you won't care.
Finish off with the Plantain + Black Bean + Cheese Quesadilla. Disregard what it sounds like... It's sweet and delicious, perfect for finishing off a meal there.
I've also had their fresh juices. If you're like me and you ride there on bike, the watermelon juice might be the greatest thing you've ever tasted. It's not fortified with anything, just puree'd watermelon in a cup, and it's my favorite thing for any beach-related shenanigans after tacos.

Pros:
Delicious tacos
Reasonable prices
You can eat your tacos barefoot, on the beach.
Cons:
All the way in Rockaway Beach - a hike unless you live nearby.
Long wait on weekends... The line is sometimes around the corner.
