Ice Tea, fried chicken, and grits sounds like summer in NYC; well at least it is in The Pink Tea Cup restaurant, tucked away snug in West Village. The Pink Tea Cup offers dinners a comfy New York dinner decor while serving up Southern cooking, but best of all every dish comes with a little Southern hospitality. A plate of fried chicken under the dinner menu fetched me $12, came with soup or salad, 2 pieces of chicken (white or dark) and 2 sides. A more traditional breakfast like Smoked Beef Sausage is only $9.50, comes with eggs (any style) homefries or grits. After one meal at this dinner and you’ll be set for the whole day, if this isn’t Southern Comfort I don’t know what is.
Must eats :
Grits
Fried Chicken
Big 5: hamburger, french fries, soup, pie & coffee all for only $8.00
Word of Caution: when asking for a side of something, ask if it's extra. I made the mistake of getting a side of bbq sauce, and showed up on the bill, extra dollar or so.
