REVIEWS:
This discothèque wannabe is a great little spot to ring in the New Year Shanghai style. With the xiao lun tang bao ($6.25) made of pork and crab is a great start, while keeping in theme seafood we got the fresh eel noodles in soup ($5.95), sautéed baby shrimp ($9.95) and for our grand finale braised whole fish with brown sauce ($10.95).
Everything was delightful especially the soup dumpling, and the braised whole fish in brown sauce was good, but a bit on the salty side we had to order side of rice to go with. While dinning at the café the music was very loud with Technicolor lights, we felt a bit like we stepped into a nightclub. Over all the ambiance is fun the food is great and don’t forget cheap- a great way to spend the Chinese New Years.
