Me and my hungry Mom stumble upon this little Jewish deli in UES last week with no expectation whatsoever. The place is quite small and it takes some time for the wait staff to come to your table but that give us lotta time to study the menu.
I of course order their signature dish- the Hot Pastrami sandwich ($12.95). The pastrami is perfectly seasoned, lean and very tender. It is not quite as juicy as Katz or 2nd Ave Deli (*the old one) but it still definitely hold up their “Pastrami Queen” title. (plus Katz’s pastrami goes for $14.45 now- if you want a big stack like you get here you tip extra $1 or $2)
My mom got the Half Salami and Half Barley soup combo ($12.95). The salami is whatever, kinda like eating bland cold bologna, not recommended. The soup is delicious on the other hand. I am so amazed how much my mom can put in her stomach! She finishes all her combo and swallow half of my pastrami sandwich!!! Wow!

The Matzo Ball ($1.50 each) soup is out of control! We don’t have the chance to try it but looks quite fantastic!
