After indulging ourselves at the Red Hook Baseball field on Sunday, we decide to be greedy by eating more food. A friend of mine has recommended getting some deserts at Steve's Authentic Key Lime Pies, which is an only few blocks away from the baseball field.
Steve’s is a distinctive place where they make, ship and sell their products. On the outside it looks very industrial but, when enter the parking lot a water fountain awaits you with tables and chairs inviting you to come and sit- quite quaint.
There are only 3 things on the menu - key lime (mini $4), key lime pies on a stick/swingle ($5), and water($1). I got the swingle since it was much talked about, basically it’s a mini key lime pie dipped into dark chocolate. Tasted yum, the chocolate was rich and dark, while the filling of the pie was tart and mildly sweet. A great combo for those without a sweet tooth, however I do think one whole swingle is bit much for one person, each of us got one and nobody finished it.
