Freaking YUM. OK, OK, so the tab can definitely add up here. We spent about $20/person at 7:30pm because we were all starving for dinner, but the buttons on my dress were seriously about the burst from all the food. Seriously.
But really, if you just swing in for the onigiri (stuffed seaweed wrapped rice balls), you'll spend $3-4 for one and you can get a bottle of unfiltered sake for about $5. Or you can go the yakitori route, getting skewers of chicken meatballs or bacon wrapped asparagus ranging from $1.5-3. And you are guaranteed to have some delicious Japanese little plates.
Just go and eat. And be prepared to wait. I promise it's well worth it.
